One of my favorite guilty pleasures is watching Adam Lambert as he... well, dayum - as he does just about anything. =^_^= I'm a member of AdamOfficial, his personal spot on the web. Because he gets involved and responds to fans, often with a video newsletter of things he's up to, it's a great way to keep up with him.
Here's a taste of his new single, For Your Entertainment, from the CD by the same name. I write erotic Romance and Erotica, and this blog is in the adult section of Blogger, so take note. If you don't like hot men, avert your virgin eyes now. LOL I've added links to buy either his Audio CD or the MP3 download, and there is more info below the video. (btw, it's offered for sharing at his website, above, if you want one for your own blog)

There's been a lot of talk about his performance at the AMA ceremony, and sure, I can understand that some parents were shocked by the controversial act. In response to about 1500 letters, ABC canceled his appearance on a few of their programs. To me, that was more controversial than what Adam did. Millions of his fans tuned in who had never watched the show before (including me). We loved it! Doesn't our vote count? Maybe if 3000 of us had written to ABC and thanked them for allowing him to perform live the way he wanted to, it would have been a different story.
On the thing about parents being shocked - it's hard to counter everything that culture aims at children. On a Saturday morning, you can expect around 200 food ads geared toward kids. They're not for brocolli, folks. They're for sugary tasty treats. A parent in today's society has much more to watch out for than our parents did. That said, those who expected the Adam Lambert who had been on American Idol who was squeaky-clean-yet-a-bit-naughty got waaaay more than they bargained for. Realistically, it was naive to expect him to retain that image. That was what he did to get to the top of American Idol. It wasn't what he wanted to do the rest of his life.
I'm glad that episode is past, and that he can get on with his career and do what he's always dreamed of doing. Remember, Elvis was only on TV from the waist up because his hip gyrations were "too indecent" for the public -- yet he's now considered the King. Every generation has its own "American idol" -- and I'm not referring to the TV show. Elvis was the idol of yesteryear. Adam is the idol of today. Personally, I'm enjoying every moment of it.
