Halloween Pizza Party 2013 Multiple Authors Share Love of the Pie! #RLFblog #authors

Pizza!
It's Halloween, and rather than do a typical post about pumpkins or candy, I thought I'd gather a bunch of friends together and throw a pizza party. The selections include something for almost everyone. In fact, there are so many I'll do another version of this later in the year.

One of the questions on nearly every interview in 2013 was a chance to fill in the blank with items for a favorite pizza. RLF blog is happy to present a huge selection of goodies that show just how much alike we all are. A large group chose pepperoni (my personal favorite), followed by cheese (my second favorite). Where available, I included the Twitter handle of the author. If they didn't supply one, I used Facebook or their website. Armed with the knowledge of someone who likes your type of pizza, go friending!

Pepperoni

Pepperoni had the most choices, topped with other items or by itself. I added myself to this category.

I love pizza with double toppings of low fat turkey pepperoni.

I love pizza with pepperoni.

I love pizza with pepperoni and extra cheese.

I love pizza with pepperoni and sausage.

I love pizza with pepperoni.

I love pizza with tomatoes and pepperoni.

I love pizza with no cheese, but lots of pepperoni.

I love pizza with pepperoni, black olive and mushroom.

I love pizza with pepperoni, sausage and onions.

I love pizza with pepperoni, cheese and mushrooms (I’m a traditionalist! No pineapple slices or anchovies on my pizza!)

I love pizza with pepperoni and green olives.

I love pizza with black olives, pepperoni, and mushrooms.

I love pizza with pepperoni, salami, olives and mushrooms.

Cheese

The first entry gets major points for being thorough. And funny!

I love pizza with vegan cheese. Well, I don’t actually love it, and I’m not a vegan either, but I can’t eat ordinary cheese so I make do with the vegan stuff. It’s a bit like old window putty as it doesn’t melt properly so it just looks like an orange blob but I can’t imagine pizza without some kind of cheese on it!
Twitter: http://twitter.com/PeelLorna

I love pizza with goat cheese.

I love pizza with parmesan but prefer just the crust.

I love pizza with extra cheese!

I love pizza with feta cheese, sun dried tomatoes, artichoke hearts, and olive oil.

I love pizza with extra cheese.

I love pizza with extra cheese.
Twitter: http://twitter.com/authorkristina

I love pizza with forty-eleven kinds of cheese on it.

I love pizza with basil leaves, different types of cheeses, sliced tomatoes, olives, and mushrooms. Oh, and thin crust.

No Pizza for Me Please

No pizza? Say it isn't so! These folks (only two in this batch) opted for none.

I love pizza with other people so they can eat it. Pizza…yukkkk.

I love pizza with -- I can't eat pizza. I'm on a liquid diet.

Mushrooms

Why do people always invite the mushroom to parties? Because he's such a fungi! *groan* The mushroom lovers...

I love pizza with shrimp and mushrooms.

I love pizza with mushrooms.

I love pizza with mushrooms.

Other Toppings

The kitchen sink of pizza toppings. Tums or Rolaids optional. ^_^

I love pizza with BBQ chicken.

I love pizza with everything on it.
Happy Halloween
Twitter: http://twitter.com/xaviersaxel

I love vegetarian pizza with artichokes.

I love pizza with canadian bacon.

I love pizza with pineapple.

I love pizza with at least three meat toppings… it's a wolf thing.

I love pizza with Canadian bacon and pineapple.

I love pizza with everything except anchovies (which I've never attempted to eat!) Onions and sausage are my favorite.

I love pizza with anything.

I love pizza with spinach, feta and pineapple.

I love pizza with roasted veggies and chicken.

Non Food Items

While I have a feeling all these authors meant in addition to pizza, only one actually said so. These are different takes on the "I love pizza with" question.

I love pizza with fruit bomb zinfandel or heavy cabernet sauvignon.

I love pizza with my children – they love it!

I love pizza with friends.

I love pizza with my kids.

I love pizza with Beck Light Beer.

I love pizza with friends. I mean with their companionship. I wouldn't actually want my friend on the pizza.

Character Interview: THE Aphrodite (from Lord Rakehell's Love) @BookEmDonna #RLFblog

Lord Rakehell's Love
Donna Cummings, welcome back to Romance Lives Forever. We're excited to interview your character, Aphrodite, from the book, Lord Rakehell's Love.
Genre: Regency Historical
Publisher: Donna Cummings
Cover artist: Carrie Spencer of Cheeky Covers
Length: 44 pages
Heat rating: PG
Tagline: Aphrodite, the Goddess of Love, is playing matchmaker in Regency London, only she's put a curse on the lovers instead
Blurb:
First in The Curse of True Love series
Simon is known as Lord Rakehell, so any sane woman would be wary of wedding a man of his reputation. He truly loves Georgiana, and is determined to prove it to her, but how can he convince her after being late to their wedding?
Georgiana knew the dangers of falling instantly in love with a celebrated rake, but even she had not expected him to show up for their nuptials with ladies-of-the-evening in tow. Now she must determine whether Simon's protestations of love are genuine, or if she is being led astray by the passion he continues to incite in her.

What are your main characters' names, ages, and occupations?
Simon Blakely, Lord Winbourne (aka Lord Rakehell), 30, rake
Georgiana Kirkwood, late 20s, wallflower

Excerpt:

Mount Olympus, 1811
"I'm bored." Aphrodite stared at her fingernails, and then wondered why she bothered. They were perfect. She was a goddess after all.
But the unending flawlessness of her world filled her with ennui. The perpetual blue skies and breathtaking vista of her mountaintop palace had once brought her great joy, though now. . . She stifled a yawn. Even the daily ambrosia and nectar had become tiresome.
"I need a diversion."
"We could devise a way to torment the mortals," Ares suggested.
"I suppose," she said, admiring the handsome god in his toga and sandals. She had to admit she never grew tired of his perfection. "It has been a few decades since we've stirred up any mayhem. What do you have in mind?"
"I always like the things with curses."
There was no mistaking the bloodthirsty gleam in his eyes. Why did she have to adore someone who was her complete opposite? "And I prefer the ones with true love."
Ares frowned for a moment. "We could combine them," he said. "You know what they say about the curse of true love, and how it never runs smooth."
"I believe that is the course of true love," she said with a chuckle. "Our friend Mr. Shakespeare came up with that one, remember?"
He grinned. "I believe Romeo and Juliet would consider true love a curse."
"Surely we can devise something similar, only without the tragic ending."
"Curse someone with love?" Ares tilted his head. "How would that work exactly?"
He strode across the palace floor and sat down on his throne, the one he'd insisted on upholstering with. . . Aphrodite shuddered. The poor darling still could not fathom why none of the Greek cities wanted him as their patron.
If ever there were an example of mismatched lovers, it was the two of them. He lived
for war and fighting, while she was devoted to love and beauty—and him.
"Of course!" Aphrodite's heart raced with excitement. "We can curse them to fall in love with someone who isn't at all right for them."
"Ahhh, like when Will had that woman fall in love with the donkey-headed gent."
"Not quite what I was contemplating, dearest." She frowned, toying with one of the earrings Ares had given her the previous evening. She did love her jewelry, but it was not enough to erase her boredom.
Surely there was some way to make this work without donkey-headed men being involved.
"I may have to go and mingle with the mortals myself," she decided. "It's fortunate that Grecian fashion is enjoying a renaissance right now." She studied Ares' attire. "Well, at least it is for women. You'd have to squeeze into breeches, and learn to tie a cravat before you could walk amongst them without causing a sensation. At least your hairstyle is au courant."
Ares glanced down, admiring his muscular legs. And who could blame him? He was perfect in his imperfection, which is one reason she loved him so madly.
Yes, this would be a delightful plan, almost a re-enactment of their own passionate affair. Once she had encountered Ares, it was impossible to love anyone else.
"It never goes smoothly when we get personally involved with the mortals," he reminded her.
Lord Midnight
"But that is what makes it so entertaining." She strolled towards him, enjoying the soft swish of her gown against her legs, as well as the heated look it provoked in his dark eyes.
"What happens if they resist your matchmaking scheme?" Ares asked, his voice husky with growing desire.
"Resist me?" Aphrodite chuckled as she led Ares through the great hall toward their private bedchamber. "That is an amusing thought."

Interview with Aphrodite, Goddess of Love

Tell us about yourself.
I am the Greek Goddess of Love, and I adore jewelry, and all things involving beauty and love. However, I have recently grown bored with the perfection of my existence. Who can bear to eat ambrosia and nectar every single day? I decided I would entertain myself by helping mortals find their one true love. And what better place than Regency London, where they are enamored of anything to do with the ancient Greek world.
Tell us about Ares.
I utterly adore him, even though he loves war, and fighting, and conflict of all kinds. He is the complete opposite of me, which may be why we are so passionate for each other. It is also what gave me the idea to play matchmaker. Or maybe I should say "mismatchmaker". It hasn't gone as smoothly with Lord Rakehell and Georgiana as I'd hoped. . . But I'm confident I can remedy everything. After all, my reputation is at stake here.
What do you think is your strongest point?
My persistence.
What would Ares say is your biggest weakness?
My persistence.
What do you wish was different about your life?
I adore my life! I am having so much fun masquerading in Regency London as Lady Aphrodite Carramont, with only Ares aware of my true identity. I'm not sure when I'll be ready to return home to Mount Olympus. It could be a while.
If you were given your fondest wish, what would it be?
That everyone would fall madly in love with their one true love and live happily ever after. BUT, only after I've had a chance to be involved, of course. It wouldn't be much fun otherwise. I'm definitely looking forward to the next rogue on my list, the one known as Lord Wastrel. He's proving to be a bit of a challenge.
Describe a place of perfect refuge.
I don't suppose I can say the bedchamber I share with Ares, can I? Well, that is still my answer, even if I shouldn't say so.

Character Interview: Nat Seddon from Burning Ashes @HLewisFoster #RLFblog #LGBT

Burning Ashes
H Lewis-Foster, welcome to Romance Lives Forever. we're excited to interview your character, Nat Seddon from the book, Burning Ashes.
Genre: Gay Romance
Publisher: Dreamspinner Press
Cover artist: Leah Kaye Suttle
Length: 200 pages
Heat rating: Sensual
Tagline: Sporting rivalry turns to passion in a tale of true love and cricket.
Blurb: Intelligent and confident, Australian cricketer Nat Seddon is one of the world's best bowlers. He's openly gay, but keeps his private life to himself, with everything under control. But on the last day of his team's Ashes tour of England, he meets Scott Alverley, England's promising new batsman. Nat tries not to be attracted to Scott, but he can't help finding the privileged young man handsome and endearing. Nat is tempted by a little end of tour fun, but finds himself playing agony uncle to a virgin. Instead of going home to bask on a beach, he spends a wet week in the north of England with Scott. Try as he might to resist, he can't help falling hopelessly in love.
The hectic sporting calendar is a persistent obstacle to their growing romance; Nat and Scott are rarely even on the same continent. They make the most of the time when they can be together, but the months apart take a toll on Scott, professionally and personally. The possible solutions are nearly unthinkable, but if they are willing to make sacrifices that will change their lives forever, they might hold on to the love they found in the Ashes.
Buy links:
What are your main characters' names, ages, and occupations?
Nat and Scott are professional cricketers. Nat Seddon is 27 years old and plays for Australia, while Scott Alverley is 21 and plays for England.

Excerpt:

A little while later, Scott stood in the kitchen making tea, while Nat watched him from the comfort of the couch. Scott looked more relaxed than he had all night and even more attractive. Nat felt his heart begin to race as he imagined the feel of Scott's skin beneath his fingers, the taste of his lips, the heat of his—
Nat recalled the panic in Scott's eyes when he'd tried to kiss him a few hours earlier. No matter how much Nat ached to see what lay beneath his shirt and jeans, he couldn't put the slightest pressure on Scott. He knew he'd never forgive himself, so he got up from the couch and made his way to the kitchen.
"Listen, Scott, it's getting late."
A teaspoon slipped from Scott's hand and clattered onto a saucer. Nat could have kicked himself when he saw the anxious rise and fall of Scott's chest, and the lump in his throat as he swallowed. Scott plainly thought Nat expected his reward for being such a patient listener.
"I didn't mean… I have to go. We've got an early flight tomorrow."
Scott didn't look any less fearful at the thought of him leaving. In fact, he looked like he might cry. Nat didn't know what to do, so he reached into his pocket and took out his phone.
"Take my number. Give me a call if you're in Brisbane or if you just want a chat."
Nat looked down to switch on his phone, but before he could tap the screen to life, he felt Scott's trembling fingers on the back of his neck. As Scott pulled Nat toward him, Nat saw the awful consequences if he let this happen. He'd be thousands of miles away this time tomorrow, unable to help Scott through a difficult time, and if he let Scott think he was interested, it could only make things worse. Nat determined to resist. He'd put Scott in touch with some gay support group, then get the hell out of the country.
But as Nat felt the touch of Scott's lips against his, he found himself helpless in the face of temptation. Remembering this was Scott's first kiss, Nat was more restrained than he'd been in his life. He longed to grab Scott's sweet backside and run his hands over every inch of his body, but instead he stroked his fingers through Scott's hair as their lips gently explored. Nat felt the tension in Scott's body ease, as their kisses became deeper and more intense. Nat's heart began to flutter and tiny shivers rippled over his skin. Then Scott pulled away and said the oddest thing.
"Do you have to go home tomorrow?"

Interview with Nat Seddon

Tell us about yourself.
Hi there. My name's Nat Seddon. I'm a professional cricketer and, as I'm sure you can tell from my accent, I play for Australia. I'm a fast bowler, which means I have to keep myself pretty fit, and at six feet five, there's quite a lot of me to keep fit. I love cricket, but when I'm not playing or training, there's nothing I like more than curling up with a good book and a glass of wine.
Tell us about Scott.
I know this'll sound really soppy, but Scott is the only man I've ever loved. Don't get me wrong, I wasn't a virgin when we met, but my sexual partners had always been friends and nothing more. But then I met Scott and everything – and I mean everything – changed. I don't mind admitting I was a bit uptight before I met Scott. I was always in control of my life and I didn't let anyone get too close. We spend so much time travelling in this job, I didn't want the heartbreak of a long-distance relationship, but the moment I met Scott, well…I tried so hard not to fall for him, but there wasn't a damn thing I could do about it.
Scott couldn't be more different from me. He's got wavy blond hair and he's quite slender for a sportsman. And let's face it, he could be a catwalk model. I still get shivers just looking at him sometimes. He's the most beautiful man I've ever met–and the scattiest. He's so disorganized and he comes up with the daftest ideas. You'd never think he passed his exams with flying colours at that posh school he went to. But he's also the sweetest, kindest man I know. He'll probably drive me nuts when we finally get to live together, but I don't care. I love him and that's all there is to it.
What do you think is your strongest point?
I think most people would say it's my dedication to my work. I dread to think how many hours I've spent in the gym and the practice nets over the years. I want to help my team win, whatever it takes, and I suppose I've brought that same dedication to my relationship with Scott. I hate it when we're apart just as much as he does. I guess I'm not capable of doing anything by halves.
What was it like where you grew up?
I grew up in Brisbane. My mum is a doctor and my dad's a barrister, so I had a pretty comfortable childhood. I went to a good school and I had some great friends, so I really can't complain. I got a bit of stick when I came out, but nothing I couldn't handle. Mum was amazing. She was so supportive, whereas Dad…let's just say I steer clear of my father if I can. He's never come to terms with what he calls my 'lifestyle choice'. The truth is he can't stand the thought of his only son with another man. We're civil to each other for Mum's sake, but that's as far as it goes.
As a child, who was your best friend? Tell us about him/her.
My best friend at school was Andy—he's a writer now and still a good mate. We had so much fun together and got into all sorts of scrapes. I told Andy I was gay when we were fifteen—he was the very first person I told. He shook my hand in this really grown up way and said, "That's all right, mate. Makes no difference to me." Then he got together with our other friends, Mark and Barry, and they swore to beat the crap out of anyone who gave me any trouble. I was big enough and strong enough to look after myself, but it was great to know they were all on my side.
Describe a place of perfect refuge.
That would have to be Honeysuckle Cottage, Scott's parents' place in the Lake District. We went there the day after we met, and we really got to know each other there. It was where we made love for the first time too, and you never forget that. There's an open fire and cozy sofas, and shelves overflowing with books. The views of the countryside are breathtaking, and the housekeeper, Mrs B, keeps the fridge stocked with delicious food, which Scott is only too happy to cook. So I'd be glad to hide away with Scott in Honeysuckle Cottage any time. Good food, good books and the man I love. What more could a guy want?

About the Author

H Lewis-Foster has worked with books, in one form or another, since leaving university. As a keen reader of gay fiction, she decided to try writing herself, and is now the proud author of several short stories and a debut novel.

What are your main characters' names, ages, and occupations?
Carina Tranquilli, 25, San Francisco dance club owner
Alexander Wallace, 45, musician
Excerpt:
Turn around.
I froze, my moment of weakness chased away by a jolt of adrenaline. I resisted Adrian's pull. "Did you hear that?"
"Hear what?"
Silence.
"Nothing, I guess." A wave of energy rolled into me, curled itself possessively around my body, and gave me one hell of a head rush. "Oh, wow." I bit my lip, bracing against reaction.
Adrian tightened his grip on my waist. "Rina?"
Mark and Ren stalked over, faces grim.
"Did--? Do you--?" My mouth was so dry I could barely speak. "Do you guys feel that?"
Adrian squeezed, capturing my wandering attention, concern etched in the stern set of his jaw. "Feel what? What's wrong?"
I started to tell them the Invisible Man hugged me against an electrified fence, but a second wave of energy bowled into me, making me tingle from head to toe. The sensation walked the line between pleasure and pain. A moan escaped me.
Mark took me from Adrian. "That's it. We're out of here." He tried to pick me up, but I shook my head. Bad idea. Dizziness took the hall, and me, for a little spin.
Turn around. Turn. Around.
Was it a voice or instinct urging me on? Either way, the desire proved irresistible. I pulled away from Mark, pivoted, and forgot how to breathe.
The electric energy pulled back. The dizziness abated. All extraneous noise and people drained out of my perception until there was only Him.
Tall, fit, and bad-boy handsome with skin like pale honey, his thick, walnut brown hair hung tousled in a sexy, I-just-got-out-of-bed way. A hip, black, button-down shirt accentuated a sculpted upper body before it tucked into slacks painted on long, lean legs. The whole package made my mouth water.
Hot. Yummy. Totally my type.
"Who are you?" I whispered.
His mouth twitched in a hint of a smile as if he heard me--impossible given the distance between us. Heat spread, loosening my muscles, and my pulse sped up. Nerves. What's wrong with me? Guys never made me nervous, not even gorgeous ones.
I nibbled my lower lip, mind racing to make sense of my reaction. His gaze tracked the movement and then slid back up. The heat from his stare hit me full force, driving a shaft of need through me. Energy rocked me again, a warm, electric breeze bathing my skin. My eyes widened in comprehension. The energy came from him.

Interview

Tell us about your story's world. What is it like in this period or place?
Haven is set in present-day San Francisco, California, with twists, of course. I maintained the basic geography and beauty of my hometown and added new venues as needed, such as my heroine Carina's dance club. I've preserved the current cultural, societal and political norms of our reality and layered in the "fantasy" via the paranormal inhabitants. Vampires hide in plain sight and use their power to manipulate mainstream society and maintain their secrecy. Many humans know of their existence but it's a don't-ask-don't-tell situation. Unless you want your mind/memory tweaked. Or your throat ripped out. The vamps are cranky like that.
Which character in your current book do you think readers will like the most? Why?
Jonas is my favorite and I suspect he'll win over readers, too. . An ancient vampire originally from England, Jonas embodies extreme violence in a pretty package. He's a man of few words, dark and moody, fiercely loyal and violently protective of those few people he loves, such as Carina.
I adore Jonas so much I gave him his own story, a short story prequel to HAVEN entitled "Vampire Code." It released earlier this month from Champagne Books.
When you write, what things do you want close at hand? (Coffee, water, chocolate... pictures of gorgeous hunks for inspiration...?)
Water, laptop, music.
What's your writing schedule like?
A typical writing day looks something like this: Chauffeur child to school, exercise, write, line edit and/or read slush pile for indie publisher, pick up child, spend evening with family. Rinse, repeat.
Any advice for new authors?
Write every day.
What are you currently reading for fun? Anything for research?
For fun, I'm about to start J. R. Ward's Lover At Last from my TBR pile.
What kind of music do you listen to while driving? Same question when writing?
Genre of music for both writing and driving depends on my mood. For Haven, I listened to primarily House, Techno, Electro and Industrial music. Haven's playlist is on Spotify: http://open.spotify.com/user/1292279739/playlist/1TWos0QMsQe5QjUgl5xPQJ
Do you play any musical instruments?
Piano
What do you wish I had asked you? Please ask and answer it now.
If you were given the opportunity to meet/have lunch with/pick the brain of one writer in the world, who would it be? (In other words, who makes your Fan Girl brain go *SQUEEE!!!*)
Joss Whedon!

Publisher: Self
Cover artist: CreateSpace
Length: 283
Heat rating: 4
Tagline:
Blurb: Seacat John McCall labels the attack on the Sea-anan Empire as a nightmare. He escapes the enemy's invasion, only to find himself stranded on a distant planet called Surreal. Tormented by thoughts of his family being massacred or captured by the enemy, he focuses on ret
urning to aid them until he experiences a mind-boggling kiss that can only come from the one he is meant to share his life with. To ease the terror he feels for his family, John seeks the identity of his secret admirer. He quickly learns the true meaning of nightmare when he discovers his soul mate is of "the mist."
Jasira Eversole is drawn to the powerfully built outlander sitting at the king's table. Unable to resist the need to see him again, she enters the warrior's room while he sleeps. John's rugged good looks and chiseled body compel Jasira to reach out and touch him. Being of the mist, Jasira knows she will not be able to feel John, but she cannot resist his pull. The richness of John's hair, the firmness of his muscles, and the clean scent of his skin all take Jasira off guard. She swiftly realizes John is her intended mate. Now, Jasira must somehow convince the young warrior that they are two halves of one soul without chasing him off Surreal, leaving her to a lonely existence as mist.

What are your main characters' names, ages, and occupations?
John McCall is a Seacat, an elite warrior of the Sea-anan Empire. He is 27 years old and a member of the royal clan.
Jasira Eversole is a 23-year-old spirit bound to planet Surreal. Even though she is a ghost, she has a dual career as a school's headmistress and a midwife.

Excerpt:

John was drifting off to sleep when he felt soft lips press against his own. His heart leapt in his chest, waking him. He did not wait to respond. He instantly showed his talented Jasira how a McCall kissed.
He had longed for this kiss since the last time. Her kiss was how he remembered. Warm. Hungry. Arousing. John growled. He lured her tongue into his mouth where he could savor it. Her taste made his trip to Surreal worth it.
John felt Jasira's fingers travel down his chest and abdomen, then to his throbbing root. His head fell back, over the tub on a loud groan. "Jasira." He adjusted his hips, giving her better access to his inflamed body.
His racing heart banged harder against his ribs as Jasira gripped him firmly. John felt the world tilt on its axis. Surrendering to Jasira's sensual touch, he clung to the sides of the iron tub and closed his eyes more tightly.
A Forgotten Kitten
"I want you, Jasira," John huskily admitted. He opened his eyes.
Through their glow, he saw the ceiling. He glanced around. The kitchen was empty.

Interview

What inspired you to write this book?
I read a ghost story written by Anne Rice. In one scene, a male spirit intimately explored the main female character. I was intrigued. When it came time to write John's story, I was trying to figure out who was going to be his wife. That's when I thought about Anne Rice's spirit. I had a lot of fun writing this story.
Which character in your current book do you think readers will like the most? Why?
I believe readers will like John McCall. He is a mixture of Indiana Jones and Hans Solo. He is tall, intelligent, strong, handsome, and has a caring heart. He is also loyal. What more can a woman want?
Why do you write?
I write because I love to write. It's my drug, my addiction. If I don't write, I'm not happy.
Who has helped you the most in your career as an author?
My husband Alan. He has been my backbone since the beginning. Without him, I would not be able to pursue my dreams full-time. Without him, "A Lost Kitten" and its sequel, "A Forgotten Kitten" would still be on my desk instead of in readers' hands.
When you write, what things do you want close at hand?
When I write a new story, or I have to edit an existing one, I need my mug of coffee next to me, and my inspiration image on my computer screen.
When you're not writing, what would we find you doing?
The only time I'm not writing, editing, or promoting, is when I'm brain dead. If that's the case, you will find me either reading, watching TV, or playing video games.
Are you a plotter, or do you prefer to make it up on the spur of the moment?
Plotter? I'm not even sure how to do that. Once I have a scene in my head, I write it down. The story grows from there. I just jot down scene after scene as it flows in my head. Once it's all on paper, I go back and flesh it out, adding more where is necessary to help the story move along and come alive.
What's your writing schedule like?
Being a mother of 14-year-old triplets, I write whenever I get the chance, which is why I work from a laptop. I have spent countless hours working in my car waiting for my kids to finish their afterschool programs.
What aspect of your life do you write into your books?
Hahaha Everything. Love. Family. Friendship. Loyalty. Betrayal. Prejudice. Death. And multiple infants.
When an idea hits you, what do you do to capture it?
I quickly jot it down on paper, so I can explore it on a later date.
Which of your books was the hardest to write and why?
Book one of the Oceanan Saga, "A Seacat's Love", is the next book I am going to introduce to my readers. I felt this one was the hardest to write because it took place on Earth where there are no magical creatures or magic in general. I had to introduce my aliens carefully and have everything make plausible sense without the story being boring. I hope I got it right.
What's the best gift you ever received?
A Kindle from my husband and kids. Now I will never be without a book to read.
If you could time travel, what era would be your first stop?
I would travel back to the 1800's. I just love the clothes the women wore back then.
Do you believe in luck?
Absolutely.
What kind of music do you listen to while driving? Same question when writing?
When driving, I listen to pop music. I don't listen to music when I'm writing. In fact, I can't hear noise when I write. Noise pulls me out of the world I'm in, in my head and keeps me from seeing my characters and their lives. I have earplugs for those extra noisy days.
What's your favorite movie?
Harry Potter. Independence Day. Jurassic Park. I have so many.
Are you the eldest, middle, baby, or only child?
I am the middle child and the eldest daughter.

Please complete the sentence

I love pizza with Pepperoni.
I'm always ready for a cup of coffee.
When I'm alone, I am on my computer working.
You'd never be able to tell, but I had triplets.
If I had a halo, it would be sparkling like diamonds.
If I could sell more books and have a steady income, I would hire a cook.
I can never teach my teenagers how to drive, because I'm too much of a coward.

What are your main characters' names, ages, and occupations?
Benjamin Moss, male, 35, Business owner, ex-mercenary
Selina Moss: female, 28, Pharmacist.

Excerpt:

"There's something I need to show you in our suite upstairs."
The corners of his mouth lifted in a boyish grin as the lift doors opened. Her gaze fixated on his lips—sensuously full, they were a mix of firmness on the edges and softness on the inside—and she wondered if he would kiss her.
Her pulse rate skyrocketed as they rode up and he pulled her into the circle of his arms. He looked so handsome in his fitted charcoal suit, broad torso tapering at the hips. Leaning this closely to him, his taut muscles beneath the soft silk fabric offered protection as well as a glimpse of the possession to come. With her head on his shoulder, his all-male spice permeated her pores with every breath she took.
"You do know we can't leave our guests at the reception just for a quickie," she said. Tilting her head so she could see his face, she curled her lips in an I'd-like-you-to-take-me smile. Her womb contracted in agreement.
Truth was, she needed to get laid—the hot, fast, sweaty kind. Since she agreed to marry Ben they hadn't been together, not even for a hand job. The mad rush to organise a wedding ceremony in such a short period of time, his insistence for her to move her things into his waterside penthouse apartment in Chelsea, combined with a pretty hefty schedule at work for both of them had left little time for anything else.
"Who says we can't?"
He kissed her, a ruthless sweep of his tongue and demand of his lips. She clutched the lapels of his jacket, hanging on as sensation assaulted her.
Scars
Beneath her dress, her lacy thong got soaked as she squirmed against him. She'd worn the skimpy underwear to avoid panty-lines showing through her dress. Perhaps she should've chosen something sturdier like French knickers.
When he lifted his head, she was breathless, panting.
"Ben?" she asked when she finally got her voice back.
The dark colour of his suit emphasised the intensity of his eyes and complemented his tanned skin. With his South African heritage, his skin tone was always on the golden side, despite the recent bad weather and lack of sunshine.
"No. But I've got the next best thing for you."
They stepped out of the lift, and he opened the door to the bridal suite. She followed him in, heart pounding in excitement.
"By the time the reception is over, you'll be begging me to fuck you."

That'll be telling. LOL

Boredom, what's that? I have 3 young kids, a busy writing schedule and a business to run. Where is the time for boredom? J
What do you wish I had asked you? Please ask and answer it now.
What's your upcoming book about?
Her body is his to command, her heart his to win.
Selina Moss bared her body to her husband and allowed him to see her and touch her like no one else has ever done. When a member of the family visits, she realizes there is still so much about her husband she doesn't know.
Benjamin's remorse about his family history drives his actions. Selina is his present and he'll do whatever it takes to protect her from being contaminated by his past, including revealing the shame that burns his soul.
But for Selina, finding out about Benjamin's past means investing emotionally in a man who's only going to walk away once their temporary arrangement comes to an end. Is she ready to bare her heart to him along with the secrets of their past?

Genre: Contemporary, M/M
Publisher: Liquid Silver Books
Cover artist: Valerie Tibbs
Length: 51,000

If you love someone, set him free. If he steals something of yours, hunt him down and make him sorry.

Blurb:

Alex Bremen is over Chance Ralan. Ever since his high school boyfriend ditched him nine years ago, Alex has barely thought of Chance at all. Sure, Alex attended a concert or two when his ex's band, Armageddon Showdown, was in the area, but that was more curiosity than anything else. Who wouldn't want to see firsthand how his once clean-cut boyfriend transformed into a pierced and tattooed heavy metal god?
But when Chance has the nerve to record a love song Alex wrote for him years ago, Alex crosses the country to confront him. Revenge becomes a dish best served sizzling hot. The two men lock horns, but find the chemistry between them has only intensified with time, and occasionally love needs to do some growing up before it can be done right.

What are your main characters' names, ages, and occupations?
Chance Ralan is a twenty-eight year-old lead singer and guitarist for the heavy metal band, Armageddon Showdown.
Alex Bremen is the same age, and is an up-and-coming documentary film producer.

Excerpt:

"How could you sing that song? I know I lost the competition. You needed to be a rock star more than you need me. I'm over it. But here you fuckin' are, Chance—you made it to the big time without me, and without that song. The least you could do is show an ounce of fucking respect for what we had."
"I do… I didn't…" He tripped over his words, and Alex shook his head, about to walk out. Distance was the best thing to have between them. Why did he think confronting Chance would bring some sort of resolution, some kind of healing to the wound that never closed no matter how much time passed? He should have known being so near Chance would tear him apart all over again.
"Wait. Alex?" Chance exhaled a deep breath as if trying to decide if he really wanted to say whatever he was about to.
"I was drunk one night. I couldn't get you … that song out of my head. I just thought if I sang it, I could sleep, ya know? Cliff heard me. Said we had to cut it." Chance shook his head as if to negate his words. "He had the rest of the band pressure me."
"So, once again, I lose to the band, huh? It's classic Chance. You fucked me over for your career already! Years later, with an entire country between us, you do it again? I let you go, Chance. You should do the same."
"Did you really?" Chance turned toward him, closing the distance between their bodies. Alex smelled sweat and leather, and Chance's breath held the essence of liquor as he spoke. "You want to tell me you didn't think about me at all this whole time? Is that why you never tried to find me? Never called?"
"Are you fucking serious? Is that what I was supposed to do?" Alex clenched his fists, torn between wanting to hit him, and dying to know if his lips, his tongue, tasted like vodka, or beer, or both.
"It woulda shown you cared."
"I see the world still revolves around you. Nice to know some things never change."
"Yeah, some things don't. Your eyes are still that same amazing blue." Chance leaned closer and the tip of his tongue flicked out to smooth his lips. "I still feel like I could just … dive into them and drown."
Fuck. A shiver of excitement rumbled through Alex's body. He had come here to yell at him, to make him realize what a self-centered prick he was. Hopefully shame him, at least a little. After that he was going to leave.
Instead, he leaned in, and his lips were on Chance's. And, good lord, he tasted and smelled just the way Alex remembered underneath the burn of booze. Chance's face was rougher against his chin and cheeks, not like the smooth-faced boy Alex used to steal kisses from. Damn, if the man wasn't so much hotter. He licked the seam of Chance's closed lips and the guy groaned beneath Alex's onslaught while his mouth opened in response. Their tongues met, and Chance molded his warm body against Alex's.
Christ, he feels almost too good.
Alex's hand wrapped around the back of Chance's neck. He loved the thatch of hair at Chance's nape. Different color, but still reassuringly soft. Threading his fingers through the silky mass, he pulled Chance's mouth closer, his tongue deeper into his own moist heat.
Alex smiled against Chance's mouth as the rocker ground his hips upward into Alex's throbbing groin. The guy's cock was hot and hard, wrapped in buttery leather. It surged against Alex's hard-on.
Not everything changed.
The squeak of the outer door being tugged open broke the love buzz, and Chance wrenched guiltily out of his arms.

Interview with Chance Ralan

Tell us about yourself.
Hi. My name is Chance and I'm a recovering alcoholic. Oh, wait. Wrong place for that.
Tell us about Alex.
Well, he's hot as hell, for one thing.
Actually, he's too good to me, but at the same time, he doesn't put up with my shit. It works, ya know? He makes me a better person, which is pretty much how the whole partner thing goes, I guess. Whenever I step on my own dick, he's the first one to point it out, but also the first one to kiss it and make it better.
What do you think is your strongest point?
Being a killer musician, for sure.
What would Alex say is your strongest point?
Ummm…how great my ass looks in leather? I don't know. Maybe my drive to succeed.
What would Alex say is your biggest weakness?
I've been accused of being selfish once or twice. Yeah, probably being full of myself. But, I mean, can you blame me?
What was it like where you grew up?
Newburg, New York? Honestly, it was kind of a hole, if you know what I mean. Some rough crowds. Some crime. So you get into your own group of assholes and ride it out. Strength in numbers and all that. Sticking out too far was never a good plan.
What do you wish was different about your life?
If I had a time machine, I guess I'd…ah fuck. Don't make me answer that. I'm pretty sure saying that I'd do the same shit over again would only get me in trouble, and I'm not so sure I'd change.
Describe a place of perfect refuge.
I'd love my own island. White sand, tiki hut with all the amenities. Just peace and quiet until I feel like making some noise with my guitar. I wanna play a concert for a bunch of fishes. And Alex. He'd be one of my amenities.                  Maybe the dog could come too. Maybe.
