Changeling Press, LLC – Contemporary (Guilty Pleasures)

Every day doesn't have to mean mundane. Check out these sizzling slice-of-life titles.

All Washed Up by Sharon Maria Bidwell

[Contemporary Romance, MM]
When Peter Blake takes a job working for Walker's Wash-ups, little does he know that the easiest part of his day will be deciding which of his "uniforms" he hates the most. Needing the money to pay off a loan, Peter decides there are worse things in life than wearing a nude male grilling "Hot Sausage" apron, even if he can't exactly remember what at the moment. His life shouldn't be like this. Alas, he didn't foresee corporate redundancy. He didn't foresee a time in his life when he'd have to take such a peculiar job, having to grin and "bare" it, where both pairs of "cheeks" burn equally with embarrassment.
Even more surprising, he didn't expect the sanest person in his growing list of crazy clients would be another man with a bruised heart, who has a lot to answer for, including his future.

Something Even Better by Kate Douglas

(It's All Good #2)
[Contemporary Interracial BBW Romance, MFM]
In an attempt to discourage his persistent ex-wife, Caj Baptista lays a kiss on a good-looking gay man, figuring that will make the point that he's no longer interested. But Marc Mirot isn't gay -- he is, as he tells Caj after an absolutely magnificent first kiss -- open minded. And Caj discovers he's not quite as heterosexual as he's always thought. In fact, he realizes he's as open minded as Marc. And then the two men meet Ginny. A lush, voluptuous earth goddess of a woman, she's absolutely perfect -- if they can only convince her that while two is good, three is something even better.

Roadside Assistance by Danni Price

[Contemporary Voyeurism/Exhibitionism Romance, MF]
Just when she thinks her day can't get any worse, Renee catches her boyfriend cheating on her -- with another man. Then her car breaks down on a deserted road. The last person Renee expects to come to her rescue is her high school sweetheart.
Jack's moved on with his life, but he's never forgotten the girl who walked away from his small town life. Renee wanted excitement and adventure -- but she got more than she bargained for. Now all Renee can think about is what she left behind.

Levi by Ana Raine

(Kline Agency #2)
[Contemporary BDSM Romance, MM]
Levi is content in his life as an escort at the Kline Agency until he sees a fellow escort find a
meaningful relationship. As Levi ponders what it would be like to have a real relationship of his own, he meets a new client, Wesley. Wesley is unlike any guy Levi has ever met.
Levi doesn't want to go back to a life without Wesley, but he's haunted by the mental and physical scars his ex, Darien, left behind. It's hard for Levi to learn to trust again, even with Wesley. Determined to put his past behind him, Levi agrees to a trial Dominant/submissive relationship with his new lover.
When Darien comes back into Levi's life, claiming he's changed, Levi has to face his fears, and come clean with Wesley about his past. But Wesley has a few secrets of his own...

My Antarctica by J.S. Wayne

[Contemporary Romance, MF]
Sheridan Travers believes isolation is the best cure for a broken heart. In the aftermath of a messy divorce, she pulled up stakes and relocated to the last place in the country anyone would think to look for her: a small town in central Utah. Despite her best efforts, the locals are determinedly friendly. Especially Murray Young, a local politician who makes his intentions toward Sheridan more than clear.
The last thing Sheridan wants is to get involved with anyone, least of all a social climber who sees her as arm candy and an asset to his political career. During an ugly scene in the parking lot of a local supermarket, things suddenly change when an unpolished but polite stranger, Howie Wilson, steps in on her behalf. As her path keeps crossing Howie's, she begins to wonder if she should break her icy fa├žade... or stay locked in her private Antarctica.

  1. Day two for a week of Changeling Press.

    1. Thank you so much for having us here, Kayelle! I would have been here sooner, but all is chaos and mayhem in my world. I'm spreading the word around and will make sure I'm around more for the rest of the week. :)

    2. Glad to have you. :) Happy to meet authors any day.

    3. Hey Kayelle! This is awesome! Thank you for doing this for us! *g* Spreading the good word and hopefully getting more to come on over and comment! *g*

  2. For another Contemporary Romance title, try out Harley on the Rocks by Zenobia Renquist [Interracial MMF] Harley's got the hots for her best friends -- two gorgeous hunks who're in love with one another. Helping them spice up their sex life can't be such a bad idea -- can it? Friends with benefits, nothing more.

  3. Great bunch of stories. If you want stories that sizzle and burn, Changeling is the place to go!

  4. Kayelle thank for hosting us!

If you like contemporaries, I have another coming out later this month called All She Needs.

Ready for a fresh start, Trina dumps her controlling boyfriend and accepts a transfer halfway across the state. On the way to her new home, she comes upon two gorgeous men skinny dipping. She decides there’s no harm in a little fun with the two men.

She never expects to see either man again but Luke, one of the hot guys from the swimming hole, turns out to be the IT guy at her new job. How can she convince him that she isn’t looking for another relationship? Does she really want to?

  5. Hey all! Gooodie... a new place to spread mayhem! *g* And since day two is all about guilty pleasures, I thought I'd pop in to say Hi. *g* Hello!! There are so many guilty pleasures... or not so guilty pleasures at Changeling Press. I should know. I have been there since the beginning.... Goodness... that makes me a dinosaur... Sniffle. But when you get as old as me, you get good at spotting the not so innocent treats. *g* I am Stephanie Burke and here are a few of my favorites.

Of course I'm going to start with me. Promotions etiquette tells me to. LOL So one of my favorite guilty pleasures involves snow... Yeah, I know. I can't stand the stuff either, but to make this winter bearable, I came up with The Adorable Snowman... What?! He's a cute Yeti... with horns... and a few forms... If that ain't guilty, I don't know what else would be! LOL

Man, I am so about interracial. I write what I know... and you want to know a cute one? Two wolf shifters and a big beautiful bunny... Enough said! LOL Camille Anthony's Bunny Tails....http://www.changelingpress.com/product.php?&upt=book&ubid=2224

Sheer Genius is Cynthia Sax The Godbunny Uh Godrabbit...I have no words... GOdfather meets Watership Down.... And don't call him a bunny! I still have rabbits invading my yard spying on me for him... darn rabbit shifters... LOL..http://www.changelingpress.com/product.php?&upt=book&ubid=1574

Hilarity ensures with Lena Ausitn's Don't Need a Hero... Cat Shifters... My work here is done... LOL http://www.changelingpress.com/product.php?&upt=book&ubid=1727

And finally, Yes, I am going to bring it back to me. Promotions etiquette says so. *g* So one of my most guilty pleasures is a Razor's Edge imprint over at Changeling. And man is the kink factor high. Can you say sexual slavery, alien invasion, BDSM, and adult toys? What was I thinking? Well, my guilty conscience prevents me from explaining, but if you like a little dark, a lot of kink, and all the way sexual and sensual experience with a Dom who shows no mercy, then check out The Perfect Seasoning... There are two more in this Razor's Edge series and each one an equally dark, sadistic, kinky, and fun as hell read. http://www.changelingpress.com/product.php?&upt=book&ubid=1707

Now I m back to creating more of the guilty pleasures that we like to share. From shape shifting skunks to gender shifting dragons, I have managed to do a lot. But there is still so much more wo write about, so many more stories to share. *g* Man, how will I get them all done?! Hmm... I'll find a way! LOL

    Love and Kisses... Stephanie Burke

    1. Now why am I not surprised that you're the one with the mayhem agenda? LOL :) Welcome, Stephanie.

    2. Who me? I am the most innocent person in this den of iniquity! *g* Would I cause any trouble? *g* See my halo? 0;-} There. That proves that I am the good one! LOL Hugs Kayelle. *g*

    3. Oh, right... I almost missed seeing that halo. Is that horns holding it up? LOL

  6. I'm always surprised when people say "Changeling does contemporary? I thought you only did Paranormal?" Our very first release was a Hot Flash called Kiss In The Dark, a contemporary Romance. So to go with Zen's Guilty Pleasures/Contemporary theme for today, here's a special discount code -- RLFBlog -- just for RLF Blog readers. Take 15% off your entire order all week long when you buy any Guilty Pleasures/Contemporary Romance at Changeling.

    1. Thank you for the discount. :) I noted on Facebook that there is one, and told them to come here to see.

  7. I love writing contemporary for Changeling. It's fun and a nice change of pace. I can be all the wicked I please. :-)

  8. Damn...once again I get to the party when it's all over, but all I can say is, it's been one of those years. A week I could take, but damn... I hope your readers will give SOMETHING EVEN BETTER a look, but preferably after they read A VERY GOOD THING, the story where Marc and Caj meet for the first time. The way that story evolved was so much fun--a flash fiction challenge that turned into so much more. But sometimes, you get to know just enough about your characters that there's no going forward until you learn more. I'm still hunting for some time to figure out which way would be the best approach to finish up the story for my threesome, and I think it's finally coming to me. Hopefully I can turn it over to my wonderful editor at Changeling Press (Hi, Sheri!) before too long!
