  1. Hi Everyone! I am so happy to be on the RLF again :) Today I am highlighting my Bay Shore Series. There are three books in this contemporary romance series. The stories revolve around a family that is struggling with addiction, and tragedy. But of course there is plenty of romance and laughter thrown in! I will preview a sample of Burning Desire and Irresistible Desire. The last book in this series will be out in August. So stay tuned...

  2. Excerpt from Burning Desire- When the cool night air hit her face and the door to the bar closed behind them, she turned to Andrew and offered him a seductive smile. “Kiss me,” she demanded. Her voice sounded throaty in her ears, and she liked the sound. It was the sound of freedom.
Andrew’s eyes hooded as he lowered his gaze to her lips. His body moved with an easy grace that contradicted his size as he backed her against the building, linked his fingers with hers, and raised her arms above her head. She felt her pulse quicken as he leaned in, brushing his lips softly against hers, filling her with just a tease of his taste, earthy, masculine, and strong.
“Are you really married?” he asked. His gaze was on hers and filled with fiery arousal.
“No,” she whispered, raising her face up to his, aching for another kiss. His scent was so deep, so delightfully masculine and strong, she could not get enough. None of the men in law school tasted or felt like this—made her feel so feminine and small, so achingly hot.
“Good.” He covered her mouth with his and kissed her hard and long. He flicked his tongue against her lower lip, seeking entrance. She allowed him in with a heady groan and enjoyed the feel of his possession. His body pushed against hers and made her ache so hard, she could no longer think. It was only thirty degrees outside, and yet she wondered why she was still wearing a coat.
Andrew pulled back and pressed his lips against her ear. “Louise, come home with me.”

  3. Excerpt from Irresistible Desire:
“Ann, wait,” he called with desperation, jogging to her side. “Can I come in?”
“What?” She turned to him, clearly caught off guard by his question, even though she shouldn’t be. He was standing in her backyard, for Christ’s sake. His intentions were obvious. “You want to come in?”
He nodded. If he didn’t talk, maybe she wouldn’t see how anxious he was for her to say yes. Maybe he would gain her trust.
“Well, I…” She paused, looking conflicted. He could tell by the way Ann was looking at him now that she saw his desperation, but something inside of her was softening to it. “I don’t know. I have work later today.”
“Please, Ann,” he begged. If his vulnerability was on display and it didn’t repel her, then he would let it show. He was too tired to fight it back, anyway. It had been too damn long since he last slept. And this woman was giving him peace. He couldn’t let her push him away, not tonight. “I can’t sleep. My head is a mess. I need someone to talk to.” He grabbed onto her shoulders and looked into her eyes, appealing to her feminine compassion. “I need you.”

    1. How compelling, Susan! I'm definitely interested in reading on.

Do you find it hard to write from a male perspective?

You do a wonderful job of writing passionate characters while keeping their integrity intact, but how do you keep these characters from looking desparate or clingy? I would imagine this is a hard skill to obtain!

Thank you for all the great work!

    2. Thank you for the support! I find the male perspective challenging, and yet thrilling as well. I think in a long lasting relationship the man should be madly in love with the woman, and she should find her love cautiously but true. I think In society today men hold a lot of the power. But women are beautiful and powerful too. We have to show that element in books. We need our young girls to look at themselves and say, I'm perfect just the way I am. The right man will see them that way and more. That, in my opinion, is romance. And romance is never clingy, it's just right.
Thank you for your great questions!
